Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s

ML and Predictive Methods in Analytical Development

January 13, 2025

The growth of the biologics space to include an increasing number of emerging biotherapeutic modalities in a wider variety of indications has increased the relevance of developability analysis in biotherapeutic drug discovery and sharpened focus on its challenges. Rapid advancement of AI and ML tools and computing capability in recent years offer an exciting route towards modeling developability in novel biologics. Cambridge Healthtech Institute's ML and Predictive Methods in Analytical Development symposium explores new technologies and strategies for predicting and optimizing aggregation, stability, formulation, and immunogenicity in silico. We will explore the latest developments in the space, highlighting recent and ongoing success stories, and look to the future as we consider new capabilities expected to come online in the next 1-3 years.

  • AI/ML algorithms for predicting protein aggregation propensity in lead candidate biologics
  • Anticipating post-translational modifications in biologic drug products
  • Applying deep learning for automated deconvolution and interpretation of high-throughput chromatography, light-scattering, and/or mass spectrometry analyses
  • Rational design in lead candidate development to circumvent downstream developability challenges
  • Tools for predicting and mitigating immunogenic hotspots in biologic drug products
  • Using multivariate analytics for identifying critical quality attributes (CQAs) in biologic drug characterization

The deadline for priority consideration is June 28, 2024.

All proposals are subject to review by session chairpersons and/or the Scientific Advisory Committee to ensure the overall quality of the conference program. Additionally, as per Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s policy, a select number of vendors and consultants who provide products and services will be offered opportunities for podium presentation slots based on a variety of Corporate Sponsorships.
